A Special Letter from David Walters
Dear Parent and Teacher:
In the near future we will have the privilege of ministering in your area. The reason we are writing this letter is to let you know the importance of the forthcoming meetings. There are a number of parents who think that ministry concerning children does not have very much to do with them and it's more geared to children's teachers. Even some children's teachers don't seem to see a need above teaching their weekly Bible lesson. Today, statistics show that only two out of ten kids in the American church make it. That means that eight out of ten youngsters end up in the world. In other words, by the time they reach adulthood they are no longer involved with any church.
Most parents want their children to be good. The problem today is that we are facing an onslaught from satan who is trying to destroy them. With occult and violent cartoons, heavy rock and rap music, M.T.V., drugs, illicit sex and godless peer pressure, coupled with new age, satanism and psychics, our children need to be more than good. They need more than Bible stories, some pizza parties and a few moral object lessons. They need to be equipped in the power of God and become anointed vessels.
We as parents must play our part in spiritually equipping our youngsters. (see Prov. 22:6). There are too many church-wise kids in our churches today. This must e turned around. We invest thousands of dollars in our children's college education, hundreds of dollars on sports, toys and the latest fashions. Now it's time to invest in our children's spiritual potential. Our desire is for your child to "Know" God, not merely know about God.
Today, God is using many leaders as "Generals" to raise up a mighty army of youngsters. Whole families are being involved in ministry and this time the children are not being left out. Amazing things happen with children that have attended our meetings and whole families have been transformed. Many miracles are taking place. The most wonderful thing is to see children of every age excited and on fire for god.
We therefore ask you to seriously make a commitment for all of your family to attend these meetings. Please also make a special effort to attend the very important "Family Seminar". To give up the good part of a Saturday and the few dollars invested in the "seminar" will prove more than worthwhile. If your husband or wife can't make it, then one of you plan to attend and bring your kids! Remember, it is more important for us to invest in our children's spiritual future than their academic or sports achievements!
We guarantee that you will not be disappointed. Your children will enjoy the seminar and won't be bored. This ministry is not about entertaining your children, but making them mighty. Our desire is to assist and equip parents, Sunday School Teachers and Youth Pastors, to raise a generation of anointed children and youth.
